Howard brought up some good  points which I want to add a spin to. It is my
observation, that really EXCELLENT facilitators pay attention to
participation and content patterns and use those observations in their
meeting plans. For example, if you know someone within the group is really
good at summarizing points, you can prep this by asking them for their
summary, or even setting it up ahead of time, Hey Bill, can you help me
during the meeting by summarizing the points that come up?

Making observations and paying attention are key facilitation skills.
