Sample menu

Hi all -

Jessie from Eno Commons here. I forgot who was collecting menu info - so I'm 
posting to all.  Last night we did a well-received common meal with the 
following menu and strategy:

On the buffet available as people came in were -

-Corn chowder (from Jeanne Lemlin's Quick Vegetarian Pleasures)

-Tomato-Garlic Soup (from Moosewood Cooks for a Crowd)with parmesan and cream 
available for topping

-Caesar salad

-Plain whitebread mild cheddar grilled cheese sandwich halves.

Also on the buffet were sticky notes and pens for people to place their orders 
with the kitchen for custom grilled sandwiches.  We offered whole wheat, 
sunflower, rye, prairie, and vienna breads; sharp cheddar, goat, gruyere, 
pepper jack, smoked provolone, and swiss cheeses; with carmelized onions, 
mustard and tomato also available.  

Many wonderful sandwich combinations were made and consumed.  Prep time was 
average, cost was reasonable and clean-up was par.
