I've been unable to use the commonhouse on occasions when the filters haven't been changed and my allergies are very mild. I'm sure those who are allergic to animals, would also not be able to use the commonhouse. But as I said, service animals are more disciplined. Ours is picked up for a bath frequently (every week?). And she does not jump on furniture and stays off rugs. Thus the dander issue is apparently moot because there have been no problems.
