> reserve the use of my microwave for tea and popcorn An article in the New York Times recently (last 2-3 months?) reported that workers in plants making microwave popcorn were reporting serious illnesses from some substance that is used in coating microwave popcorn. Sorry this is so vague but I don't have a microwave and have never eaten microwave popcorn so I didn't save the article. I make popcorn the old fashioned way -- a hot air popper -- and add lots of butter from cows fed on grass. Microwaves are one issue, but "fake" and fast foods are another.
