It was posted by Fred the Cohousing-L list manager <fholson [at] cohousing.org> -------------------- FORWARDED MESSAGE FOLLOWS -------------------- Lovely people: You know what? Having a cohousing community with people who have some similarity to me is NOT running away from children. It's running TO having more people around who want some of the same things I do. There will be children around! We'll see them grow and love them as our own just as in any other community. I've lived in a multi-generational community, and for some of us, it was our cup of tea. Now I want to taste another flavor. We don't all have to like the same stuff, do we? How wonderful it might be for some of us, as we grow older, to have a community around us, a team of people who want to build for ourselves rather than have others care for us. You can't imagine how many people say they wish their own parents had a place like that to go to. I really appreciate your reactions to this talk of Fifty Plus Cohousing.
