We have a Hardi-Plank (I think it is a look-alike -- same stuff, different
brand) and we got factory painted surfaces. The colors chosen were too light
for the tastes of many of us and they have also faded, making them even
lighter. When you patch up spots, which is inevitable, the patches show for
a long time. They are supposed to fade to the same color as the planks. I'm
still waiting, but I also have very sensitive color perception.

Another thing to consider is fire insurance - which is more flammable and
does you company care?
