Cohousing-L Mailing List: city mouse, country mouse

i am seeking advice on two cohousing twists:

a scattered group of friends is interested in building a retreat-type 
facility on land adjacent to mine, in south-central indiana.  this same 
group has also expressed interest in cohousing in the chicago area, 
although several of us do not live there, but visit often.

where do i start with these ideas?

 how to organize ownership?  (2 different states in question here. ) 
 how to make sure rights and responsibilities are equal, when usage 
won't be? how to manage occasional use (i.e. city vists)?

eventually, we'll get to conflicts of interest - some people enjoy 
recreational firearms, some are complete pacifists; some are nudists, 
some aren't.  limited social involvements keep possible frictions 
minimized - cohousing seems likely to exascerbate them, no?

so many questions, i hardly know where to start!  at this time, i'm the 
only one willing to back interest with passion.  i believe if i can get 
the ball rolling...  -grin-
