One of my neighbors at Swan's passed this along, and it seemed relevant
to the movement at large... and interesting fodder for discussion in
looking at how we set up our communities. It often feels like we trade
one kind of time (individual work cooking, maintaining one's home, etc.)
for community time (meetings, committees, one-on-one encounters,
workdays) -- the challenge is to maintain collective control of your
group so that what you add in the latter doesn't exceed what you gain in
the former.

P.S. I also have a high priority on building relationships between our
movement and those of Simple Living and similar publications/initiatives.
Are there other logical candidates that pop to mind along those lines?
