Cohousing-L Mailing List: CoHo Groundbreaking

A few weeks ago, our community, CoHo Cohousing in
Corvallis, Oregon, posted a message on the listserv to
ask for ideas for our groundbreaking ceremony. We
followed up on the suggestion to have our first
community meal in our Common House. We marked off the
Common House exterior and interior walls with stakes
and bright surveyor's tape and gave tours. After the
formal festivities ended, community members stayed and
enjoyed a potluck in our future dining room. There
were smiles everywhere from members, future neighbors
strolling by with their dogs, and the pizza delivery
person. What fun! Thanks so much for the suggestion!
