Thank you all for your responses! As it was quick to implement, I used the javascript suggestion from Michael Dover of Pioneer Valley. Michael, you mentioned that if someone was using a very old version of a browser that doesn't support Javascript, or if their Internet security doesn't allow Javascript to execute, you directed them to a non-hyperlinked version of the email address.
