I agree that green and sustainable are not the same thing. In fact they are very different. In your opinion, how can this be improved upon? I would like to see revenue generated on site and less of a reliance on "commuter communities" (burning fuel, to go to work). Cohousing communities are usually located in very affluent neighborhoods and therefore are exclusively priced. On the other hand if value added products and services are a a focus of the community then perhaps costs could be contained. Revenue streams could also lend themselves to the utilization of more expensive green technologies taking the community a step closer to sustainability.
