I had to chuckle at the "too many old wormen" comment, and "Particularly since 
those old women do so much of the work, perhaps
even the majority of it."

Because  here, time after time as non cohousers have come thru our community 
and found the women doing assorted heavy and dirty jobs, the comments to us 
gals have often been, "Don't any men live here? All I ever see are women doing 
the work!"
