Cohousing-L Mailing List: Two Forming Group Training Workshops

Hello all!
 
I want to let you know about 2 forming group training workshops in
California.
 
If you¹re interested in learning more about forming a cohousing group, join
us at this workshop put on by CoHousing Partners in Redwood City, CA (south
of San Francisco) on September 6-7, 2008. It is an important resource for
early stage groups seeking to understand the fundamentals of the development
process.  
 
We will focus on cohousing development, providing a comprehensive overview
and a roadmap for forming communities. Areas we will cover include The
Development Process, Land Search & Acquisition, Financing, Design and
Working Together.
 
The training will take place on Saturday from 9:00am-5:00am and Sunday
9:00am-1:00pm.  Early registration is recommended, as class size will be
limited.
 
Kathryn McCamant and Rick Mockler of CoHousing Partners will be the
presenters. Participants will receive a binder with supporting materials.
Coffee & tea will be available in the mornings, and lunch will be served on
Saturday
 
The early registration fee (ends Tues, Aug 5) is $250 per person, and then
will increase to $300.  The second member of a household (spouse, partner,

For those who would like to receive the same basic workshop ocean side,
Kathryn McCamant and Charles Durrett will be presenting "Cohousing: Creating
Your Own Community",  September 26-28, in Esalen, CA.  The cost is
approximately $655 per person, including a shared room and meals.
