Call Deadline: December 20, 2015

*Conference Goals:*
We are producing a two-day information packed conference on aging in
community and the cohousing model. In answer to the nations “elder boom,”
our goal is to fuel a nationwide development of senior friendly cohousing
communities that support successful aging in both adult-focused and
intergenerational communities. We also aim to spark conversations about
aging within our existing communities, and share community programs that
demonstrate healthy, vibrant aging.

*Target Audience*: 300+
• Individuals and organizations exploring the cohousing model
• Forming groups
• Existing cohousing communities
• Developers
• Policy Makers

*Conference Format*:
Our conference will include keynote presentations, general sessions, two
concurrent breakout tracks, networking events and exhibits to promote the
exchange of information and resources among attendees and cohousing leaders
and professionals, aging and care experts, leaders in conscious eldering,
lenders and policy makers who understand that successful aging is as much
about purposeful living and caring about the wellbeing of our neighbors as
it is about the process of building beautiful architecture, universal
design and sustainability.

*General Sessions* (45-60 min)
• Topics of interest to all attendees

*Breakout Sessions* (60-90 min)
• Track 1 = Empowering New Communities
• Track 2 = Enhancing Existing Communities

In crafting your presentation proposal, we encourage you to consider our
conference theme as well as the needs and interests of our target audience
and supporting organizations. Proposed presentation will be evaluated on
how helpful and practical the presentation will be to our audience.
