I’m seeking input from folks on the listserv as tohow/if communities make 
decisions regarding trees on community property thatare also adjacent to 
people’s homes. Specifically, if a tree is on common land that is adjacent to 
people’shomes and the trees are considered by one or more homeowners to be 
providingtoo much shade or perhaps potentially diseased, how do communities 
decide thefate of these trees (i.e., cut down, not cut down, prune, etc.)?  Is 
the deciding body a team, an individual,or the whole community? And do 
communities have specific criteria that theyrefer to decide that guide their 
decisions?
