Chuck Durrett and
Wendi Burkhardt, CEO and co-founder of Silvernest

were guest on a public radio show in Minnesota today.

Kathy Ahlers, a local cohousing enthusiast called in the the show
(early on) and made a suggestion that I found interesting. Something
like a combination of an investment coop ( like the one in here in NE Mpls:
http://www.neic.coop/ ) and a cohousing community to (I'd expect) make
an affordable limited equity coop cohousing community.

>From the MPR current event page (edited) :

As aging Americans find themselves as empty-nesters yet still not
wanting to leave home, they are more and more renting out those extra
rooms, often at a lower than market price. It’s good for Baby Boomer
homeowners and good for renters, economically, socially and
emotionally.

MPR News senior economics editor Chris Farrell was the host in this
discussion about the implications of senior co-housing arrangements on
cities, families and older Americans.
