Cohousing-L Mailing List: Renting rooms in cohousing

Hi,

I am a member of Village Hearth in Durham, NC. We just finished out 
common house workshop with Chuck Durrett and next month we will program 
the individual homes.

Cost is an issue for me and I am torn between getting a one bedroom unit 
just for myself and getting a two master suite unit and renting the 2nd 
suite. I have lived with housemates of and on for many years and I enjoy 
it (almost all the time). I was wondering if there is a market for 
renting a room in a cohousing community or if it is difficult to find 
housemates.

Any experiences would be helpful.
