Shoot -- I carefully checked that gmail message before sending, and it
looked as though I had no tails nor signature.  As soon as I received it, I
see that I had a whole mess at the bottom!

I clicked "pop out" for this message, which showed me all the tails, so I
could delete them.

There was no hint at all that I had anything below in the previous message;
there wasn't even the Google "three dots."  This is a good lesson for me!
