Dear Melanie: here in Portland Oregon, there is one cohousing community called Kailash Ecovillage that is rentals only. a husband/wife team bought a low income apt complex, renovated it some and created a cohousing community. I don't have many details and you can look them up. http://www.kailashecovillage.org/ https://cleantechnica.com/2017/01/03/profile-kailash-ecovillage-urban-intentional-community-portland-oregon/ Judith Lienhard, Cascadia Commons Portland Oregon ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Sun, 31 Mar 2019 11:39:18 -0400 From: Melanie G <gomelaniego [at] gmail.com> To: cohousing-l [at] cohousing.org Subject: [C-L]_ rental models of co housing? Or maybe even rent to own? Just wondering after reading some of the abundant comments about zoning, whether something like a rent to own situation might be viable within a co housing framework. thank you all for the richness of conversations here, melanie (looking for community)
