Patti,
We have had a $2500 gift last year and a $2000 gift this year (both voluntary
from the former resident and former resident's family ). We are looking into
considering this as a part of sales especially since we do help with the sale
on our website, listing the unit, helping prospective buyers with tours of the
property, etc. . We haven't finalized anything. Will be interested in
seeing other responses.

Subject: [C-L]_ Transfer fee when a unit turns over

Hello,

Do any of the communities on this list have either a transfer fee written into
your condo docs where a seller is obligated to pay back to the community a
percentage of the sale price when they leave the community, or have a gifting
culture where a large gift gets made when a cohousing unit sells?

We would really appreciate learning how that is going, if you would please
share your experience.

Thanks very much,
Patti
