At Swans Market Cohousing we start the year with a New Years day afternoon Tea, english style with 8 kinds of sandwiches (4 Vegetarian and 4 Omnivore) Scones, jam, Devonshire cream, tea biscuits and of course several kinds of Tea. We have a Fashion Parade down our central Walkway in the Spring (started in the Pandemic when we couldn’t get dressed up and go anywhere) We have a Passover celebration We have an annual 4th of July BBQ We have a garden party every year in our garden with wine and appetizers We have Pumpkin Carving day just before Halloween and do Community Trick or Treating on Halloween We have a Community Thanksgiving the Sunday before Thanksgiving which is potluck except for the Turkey and Tofurkey which is provided by the Social Committee We do Hannukah candle lighting and Latkes with sour cream and applesauce on the last night. We have a holiday cookie baking and decorating day in early December And periodically we have board games potlucks on random weekends when the mood strikes us.
