Here in Port Townsend (Quimper Village) we were told that the post office
would not deliver mail to the inside of our common house. So, our mail is
delivered to a PO stand that has mail slots for each (28) household in
addition to a few larger lockable slots for the PO to leave larger
packages. You see these stands all over any development built in the last
25 years or so.

Then, A mere few steps away is our common house. Just inside the door are
two benches, one for UPS, Amazon, etc. packages that are left for
residents. The other bench is where we put “give-away stuff I don’t want
anymore that you might like”. Items can stay on that bench for a few days
only and must then be removed.

I few more steps inside the common house you’ll find individual cubbies
that we use to leave messages, cards, surveys, magazines etc. that are
meant for a specific person.
