We budgeted $2,800 for legal and mediation.  It is the largest "if needed"
line in our budget (except for unpredictable maintenance costs.)  We
generally don't use it all and often don't use it at all.  In that case, it
either helps to cover other spending over budget or is returned to members
after the end of the year.  Legal has been used for changing the bylaws,
developing a policy for collections, reviewing a vendor contract,
responding to policy violations, and developing our participation policy.
