Cybercohousers, At my place we have gas leaks. The person who notices the odor, 
either finds a neighbor to verify it before calling 911. The discoverer(s) 
pound on the doors of everyone (it's practical for us because there are 16 
homes). We're talking about getting a dinner bell - similar to the one the 
Amish community in "Witness" used to hail the neighbors when Harrison Ford was 
in peril.
