I have no insight regarding which tech works best but plenty of
experience in situations where an urgent message to all might be in order.  An
intruder has broken into our garage;  A thief has got a postal key and broken
into our mailboxes, you need to retrieve your mail as soon after it is
delivered as possible and alert your bank or credit card company if you have
not received a check or card you were expecting; A resident has just tested
positive for covid and will not be able to cook common dinner tonight; A
resident has just had a health emergency and someone is needed to let in the
paramedics and /or perform CPR;  Someone needs transportation to Urgent Care.
These are all real life occurrences which we have experienced at least once
over the course of our 22 year history.  We use email but not everyone reads
their email in a timely fashion.  We hang notes on the Common House door but
that’s not always quick enough.  Bonnie FergussonSwans Market CohousingOakland,

If you have or are looking for this kind of system, what kinds of
situations would make you want to send an urgent message to everyone? I'm
wondering if we should be thinking along these lines, but I think I would
need some concrete examples to make such a suggestion.
