I have an idea for an article that I’d like to get published in magazines and/or major newspapers. The idea for the article is to compare intentional communities, especially rural communities, with blue zones. Blue zones and rural intentional communities each support: staying physically active staying mentally active healthy diet community These are the key factors identified in blue zones that support people living to be 100 and older. Here at Heartwood, we don’t have anyone who’s 100 yet, but we have some extremely active octogenarians. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I could get such an article published? I submitted article suggestions via the online portals for AARP and Prevention magazine, but both websites said that they get so many article ideas that I shouldn’t be surprised if I never hear back from them. I haven’t tried anything yet with big city newspapers because I’m not quite sure how to approach them. Thanks for any suggestions you can offers.
