CohoUS is excited to offer two Zoom events this month all about Cultivating 
Connections. First, join us this Thursday at 3pm MST for an event on Finding 
and Recruiting Members.


In 2000, Founding members of Heartwood Cohousing successfully moved into 24 
newly constructed homes. Since then, Heartwood has continued to thrive as a 
close-knit, rural cohousing community on over 300 acres of land.


After years of planning, the community began expanding their community, 
starting construction on 14 new homes in July 2025. Now in the thick of 
marketing and recruitment for their Phase 2, Heartwood Cohousing’s members have 
built upon their previous success, gaining new insight in the process.


Hear from them about what works, what doesn’t, and how they’ve adapted their 
marketing efforts over the years to reach potential new community members in 
2025.

We know, however, that Cultivating Connections doesn’t end at marketing and 
recruitment. That’s why we’ll be hosting a session later in the month on what 
comes next: Orienting New Members & Managing Resales.

best practices to help maintain your community’s unique spirit for years to 
come.
