Kevin Wolf asked about purpose and goal statements.

The first few months after forming a core group of 7 people were spent on 
developing a charter.  The charter turned out to be a very important thing 
as we gathered more people to our group.  We published some of this charter 
a while back on this list.  If you didn't see it, I could email it to you 
when I have time to look for it again.
