Hi everyone, I know a similar topic got discussed about 6 or 7 months ago, but ... At Cascade we have decided to have 2 meals per week (on a different pair of days in alternating weeks) instead of 1 meal per week, as several people weren't able to make it to the meal day. So, how to fairly organise the cooking of the extra meals, given that some people will eat once, twice, 3 or 4 times a fortnight? We aren't in our common house yet, so we still have the common meals in our own houses, although we are hoping to finish our kitchen within the next couple of months (Hig are you reading this?!). When that happens the inconvenience of having squillions of people squashing into one's house won't be a factor any more. Anyway, I would appreciate any ideas on cooking rosters, and examples of how it works elsewhere (or doesn't work) etc, so I can work out a few options for the Cascade members to deliberate on and decide what suits us best. Does the number of times you cook depend on how often you eat (or vice versa), or are there other ways of making this fair? What does "fair" mean anyway? Thanks, in anticipation of all your wonderful ideas, Angie McGowan (Cascade Cohousing) _______________________________________________ Angie McGowan Cultural Heritage Section Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania Australia Intl ph +61-02-336596 Dom ph (002) 336596
