Seniority Process for Site/House Selection

Hi everyone!  This is my first time making an inquiry--just signed on this
week.  This is GREAT!

I am the chair of the membership committee for the Jewell Hill CoHousing
Community in Sebastopol, CA.  We are in negotiations to buy land and forming
a legal entity all at once.  

My inquiry relates to setting up criteria for a seniority process to select
a house- site in the community.  So, for all of you seasoned cohousers, we
would appreciate anything you can send--wording from by-laws; summary of
criteria; thought pieces, etc. would be helpful.

Also, if you want to get into it, did you value participation over financial
investment, or vice a versa, or both?  

Thanks!  I'll be setting up my own computer at home in the next week and
will have a different address.  For now, I am using my co-workers terminal
at work.
