We are trying to decide on the lot size we want to use in our co-housing 
community.  We are planning on 40 houses on 20 acres.  The original plan 
was for 1/4 acre lots, but some of the families are interested in 
increasing them to 1/3 acre lots.  I am a little concerned that if the 
lots get too large, the houses will become too separate, and interaction 
between residents will be inhibited...  What size lots have been used 
elsewhere in developments with detached housing???  I just want to 
establish some sort of reference point.
