HP> - the " Passive Solar Homes" that cooked people in the summer HP> and froze them in the winter. I know of many -correctly- built "Passive Solar Homes" that work fantastically. If it didn't work, someone (who most likely didn't know how to do passive solar) designed it wrong. Passive solar homes (that are designed right) should have back up heating any way. If it didn't, that is proof to me that it was done bad in the first place. (unless built in the desert, then replace with cooling) I only know of -one- passive solar home, located in Old Snowmass Co., ( I lived near bye while they were building it) that doesn't need any back up for cooling or heating... but that place cost over a million bucks more than 10 years ago and is an institute now eg.. read profit making venture.
