It's so wet in Colorado this year and the slugs are so numerous, instead of using cement we shoveled in two parts gravel, mud & twigs and one part slugs and then fired up the ol' cement mixer. When the texture was just right, we poured it out on the path and had the kids ride their tricycles over it a few times. Works great, repels the rain, nice and soft to walk on. Course, it's a little sticky and every once in awhile it wriggles under your feet, but hey, we used what we had. Figured y'all up in the great NorthEast would find this tip useful since slugs are one of your great natural resources. Don't you want my inovative thinking in your community? Ever so helpfully, M
