Some ideas about what makes successful gathering nodes: But I won't call them rules of thumb ok? ;-) They are visible from inside of houses. They offer a place for more than one person to sit down together. They are sunny in colder times of year, and shaded in the hotter times of year. They offer enough space for a good small gathering of people (numbers depend on your perspective and size of community. My thoughts are 6-8 people) They are attractive in such a way as to make a person want to go out of their house and sit there. They are easy to get to and relate in some fashion to walkways. Keep them ideas coming folks and I will add them to this list. Rob Sandelin Sharingwood Cohousing
