Greetings,

Strawbale construction has been debated on this list at
length. In the current issue of _Popular Science_, there
is a short story on a company in Texas which is creating
2.25" thick sheets out of straw which has been heated to
a point where some sort of resin cures it into a very solid
mass. The sheets come in 4x8' sizes which, when coated with
Kraft paper on both sides, are said to be suitable for use
as interior, non-load-bearing walls or ceilings. The cost
is $17 per sheet.
