Greetings, I am a student in Johanesburg who has been doing a bit of research into the possibilities of Cohousing in the South African context. I have 3 queries for as many of you as are willing to respond. 1. Do any of you have any experience in, or insights into Cohousing in developing countries or violent societies? I will not ask about the 'diversity' aspect, as it has been virtually thrashed to death on the list of late. 2. A number of mailings to the list have mentioned a project facilitator. What do you regard as being the most important traits and skills of these individuals? (I would imagine traits to include patience, vision, etc., and skills things like construction knowledge, money management, etc.) If any of you folks have acted as such a project facilitator, I would appreciate comment from you too. 3. Are there any Cohousing communities outside N. America, Australia and Denmark who subscribe to this list? Are there any other South Africans on the list? Please contact me. Thanks in anticipation. Susan Snaddon University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
