Dear All: We are trying to gather information on types of serving and size and types of table to go with type of serving. Would some of you be kind enough to respond to the following questions: 1.) Do you serve Common House dinners buffet or family style? What helped you make that decision? Are you happy with your decision and/or what would you do over? 2.) What kinds of tables do you use? What do you like/dislike about your choice? (We are looking at family style serving with round tables for 8. I see problems with this, notably more dishes to be bought, carried in and out, cleaned, washed, and put away. Also, large tables typically make for less intimate conversation and higher noise level. Round tables seem less flexible to me than rectangular. Does anyone know of/use oval tables for 6-8?) Thanks in advance for lots of information coming back to us! Dee Dishon Blueberry Hill Cohousing (Vienna, VA: Wash. DC area): still have room for 3 more families in our community of 19 single-family houses (ground-breaking this spring!).
