The first Cohousing community IN Washington, DC, Takoma Village, is due to break ground in July. During the 7-8 months of construction, our Design Team needs a process to monitor and liaison with the contractor, developer and architect et al. I checked the entire cohousing-L archives and found NO message on this at all. Please reply with any advice, experience, resources and leads you may have. We especially need input re. whether this function is best served by a single paid professional, a pair of knowledgeable team members/volunteers, or a 3-4 person subteam. We know this can be treacherous and a tricky balancing act. Thank you, Herb Ettel, Takoma Village Design Team and webmaster, Co-op America 1612 K Street NW, #600, Washington, DC 20006 202-635-1910; Fax: (202)331-8166 / email: herbettel [at] coopamerica.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- Join Co-op America, only $15 at http://www.coopamerica.org/cjoin.htm ----------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE VISIT THESE SITES & SHARE THEM WITH OTHERS: http://www.coopamerica.org: Resources for consumers & business http://www.greenpages.org: 10,000 green products & services http://www.socialinvest.org: Socially Responsible Investment http://www.WoodWise.org: Sustainable use of wood & paper http://www.sweatshops.org: News and actions for labor rights http://www.boycotts.org: Boycott campaigns, news and contacts
