My partner and I are in the second week of the highly satisfying yet time consuming and tiring task of painting the inside of our new house. When I stand back to look at the clean creamy walls I discover that each window frames a different aspect of the luscious and vibrantly coloured houses around us. We're also enjoying this time before moving just being in the house; watching the sun mark off the hours across the terra cotta tiles through our huge north facing glass doors; discovering that half the plumbing leaks; seeing our friends come and go as they continue their preparations, chatting to folks who stop by to admire the project. A community moment - Melissa and I are not always easy in each other's company, although both committed to getting beyond our bruised toes. Yesterday, Melissa came by and shared her realisation that after seven years of planning we're all going to be seeing each other EVERY day - we both laughed hysterically for about 5 minutes. I needed that! Regards Robyn Williams Pinakarri Community Fremantle, Western Australia
