How do you handle meal money?

We are setting up our meal accounting system here at Two Acre Wood and 
wondering how others handle the money.  

Do you have a separate checking acct for the "dinner club"? 
If so, is it a business acct. with TAx ID and all?  or in an individual's 
name? 

Or can the money go through your Homeowners Assoc. account (preferable)?

I will add this to the info I have collected earlier about how the meal 
system works if anyone wants the results.
