We have phone hookups in the Highline Crossing Common House, tho the only
actual phone at the moment is in the kitchen. There are also hookups near
our sitting room and kids room and also in the basement I think.
It's good for contacting people around the community if you're in the CH.
It's good for new residents who are having problems getting their phones
installed (USWest is notoriously slow)
It's most good for a 'central' community number for queries about cohousing
and the community from outside (voice mail) - that way we don't have to have
the number change as people move in and out of the marketing team - and
anyone on the team can field the calls.
We don't yet have an office, or guest rooms in the common house, so the
phone hasn't yet been a priority for those needs.
We have long distance blocked.
