Please be on the lookout for any unusual sounds or suspicious activities! A car was broken into in front of my house this weekend (263 Chestnut)--they stole the radio. Also, I received a call from a fellow at the top of the hill who said he thought he saw someone casing his house. He made a noise and the person started running. If you see anything or hear anything suspicious please call 911 immediately! This will increase the frequency of patrols in our neighborhood. I also called the mayor's graffiti hotline to have some one come out and assess the tagging situation in our neighborhood--I think it's getting pretty bad. I'm seeing "dukes" and "kings" all over the place. Some people think that erasing the taggers' work encourages them to come back, but according to the police, the opposite is true. Please encourage your neighbors to get tagging removed as quickly as possible by signing the waivers that will be sent out. If you see anything suspicious let me know, and I'll forward a warning on to the crimewatch list. Thanks! --Diane(:^| @@ Diane Simpson @@@@ Coordinator, JP Cohousing | "| 263 Chestnut Avenue, Apt.1, Boston MA 02130-4436 | V| 617-522-2209 www.jpcohousing.org ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
