We at Songaia do pay for baby sitters at the general meetings. To my 
knowledge we have always done this (close to 10 years I believe). This 
requires 3 or 4 baby sitters sometimes. I personally believe that to not do 
that sends a loud message that families are not very welcome and more 
subtlely that children are not. I would think think twice about considering 
any community that didn't pay for baby sitting ( I do have children).
