This seems to me to be a major reason for partners to live in cohousing.
What a relief this would be to so many marriages and other joinings.

Where it is very quiet. The onsite construction supervisor is moving out,
and by weeks end, the piano will be in the music room, the dishes will be in
the kitchen, the computer will be in the media room, and we will have
survived our first kitchen cooked meal. Still bringing our own plates and
cutlery because no one knows how to use the dishwasher which is finally
hooked up. Flowers are appearing in the flower boxes. And the first child
has locked themselves in the bathroom and a neighbor has appeared with the
magic piece of wire that unlocks it from the outside.
