Sharingwood our  kids rooms is like  8x12 and its Waaaaay too small. I
woulda exchanged the pretty wood cieling for one that is sound absorbing, we
are now considering putting in carpet because the room is so  loud. I also
woulda added a cozy room, one that is separate from the big room.
