Some cultures celebrate New Year at another time.  Some religions don't have
"winter holidays."  Some religions don't celebrate holidays at all.  How
diverse must we be to qualify?

I wouldn't be offended by "finished by Ramadan" or "finished by Samhain" or
"finished by Aunt Matilda's birthday" as long as I know when they are.
