It is easy to ride share and I have marveled that so little organized ride sharing has been done, for example setting up a ride board in the commonhouse, etc. At Sharingwood we co-owned a truck for awhile, but it died of neglect. I personally co-own a car with another family. They bought out half our equity, and we keep a mileage and costs log which we reconcile quarterly. So I went from a two car family to a one and a half car family. I have not been tracking actual car trips, but I don't think the number of car trips has been altered by sharing a car. There is great unrealized potential to make considerable reduction in car trips at Sharingwood, but there is no leadership to make it happen.
