Correct me if I've go this wrong  but ideologies are belief systems based on
ideas or concepts, not values. The ideas may be based on values but they
cross over the line to layout a specific course of action and say "this is
this and this is what we do about it."

"Walk lightly on the earth" is a value. How you express that value has to be
determined in each decision.

Some times groups just get tired of making decisions and they have to move
on. A play structure isn't forever -- certainly not cedar in Tucson. You
will have another chance at it. Maybe in the meantime you can get the group
to read their dictionaries and agree on a shared vocabulary.
