Yes, it's a dilemma. Native possums in Australia are protected, naturally. In New Zealand, where they've been introduced, they've become an environmental nightmare. I detest fox-hunting in England. In Australia, foxes (and feral cats) are destroying endangered marsupials and other native wildlife as fast as the old growth timber industry.
