Our living room is now 3 feet wider than any other D unit's, and that's AFTER adding built-in bookshelves! > And lastly, for the love of Pete, don't put carpet in the entryway! I didn't have an entryway. Had to rotate the kitchen 90 degrees to make one. It's slate. If I had to do one thing over about that, it would be to have the entry slightly lower than the rest of the house, and no raised lip between the entry and the porch, so that it would be easier to sweep dirt out the front door, and harder for dirt to spread from the entry to the house.
